These highly decorative Mewar horse heads started life as a matching pair either side of a doorway in a haveli, or merchant's mansion.
Traditionally horse heads were fixed to exterior door posts to ward off evil spirits and offer protection.
It has been left in an as found condition and is ready to fit, it has a small fixing bracket attached to the top of the back.
