VINTAGE WIRE METAL DISHCLOTH HOLDER
Wirework implements such as these were made in England and North America from the 1800s to 1940s and are often wrongly identified as whisks, In fact they are dishcloth holders ( Known as dishtowel holders in North America), Which in spite of their unglamorous use were often elaborately designed. Originally the holders would have held coloured strips of cotton rags. With twisted wire handle and loop at the end - a lovely folk piece to decorate a kitchen.
